Re: Hay Fever
Funny thing about hay fever for me is that I first experienced it at a very young age and it peaked in its intensity in my thirties. Since then it has gradually petered out. However several acquaintances of mine did not have a sign of seasonal allergies until they were in their thirties and as the years have passed the discomfort has increased.

Re: Hay Fever
Always got it really badly, as a kid it was fucking horrendous, eyes, nose, short of breath, the lot. Not much better as an adult.

Then I started doing the following. The hay fever season for me is really long April through August. What works, and massively reduces the impact is to start with anti histamine and nasal spray etc. a month before, ie. in March. Since I've done this I've had very few bad days. I think once your eyes, nose get inflamed and sensitive you've fucking had it, and this seems to prevent that, for me at least. Not a bad day at all so far this year.

Re: Hay Fever
I get it the start of march every year now, tree pollen. Used to get it like a cunt this time of year but thankfully growing out of it. Sounds stupid but can be debilitating when it's really bad

Re: Hay Fever
I normally get it in March but for some reason didn't get it this year.

Try and source source a locally produced honey, can act as an antidote.

The honey thing never worked for me

Re: Hay Fever
Lived in Spain for a few years, had immunotherapy there (injections of pollen - hair of the dog theory)! Two years later things improved dramatically to the extent I go play a roubd of golf innthe summer with barely a sneeze! He had a 90% success rate.
Banned here as gp's started injection people and let patients wonder off unattended, some reacted badly and so they stopped after a death I believe. Stopped mainly for financial reasons though as expensive treatment & the nhs didn't want to fork out to have allergists watch over patients for signs of reactions so they stopped it. Shame as it made my summers a nightmare for years!
